I didn’t set out to start a business. I set out to keep doing the work I loved.

Picture this: I've worked my buns off to become a therapist, freshly uprooted, moving to Switzerland for love (my guy is Swiss—who knew The Bachelor plotlines could play out in real life?). I was determined to keep doing what I loved—being a therapist—but there was one tiny problem: I didn’t speak the language.

So, I got scrappy. Instead of fitting myself into someone else’s box, I built my own. I launched a business without a roadmap, stubbornly piecing it together while I learned a whole new way of living.

And here’s the kicker: it worked. For a while. Until it didn’t. Somewhere along the way, I got caught up in everyone else’s advice—how to grow, how to scale, how to be “successful” (whatever that even means). I chased strategies that drained me, not realizing they were never meant for me.

Cue the lightbulb moment.

What if my business wasn’t just profitable, but fun? What if it was restorative instead of exhausting? What if it let me take Fridays off to spend time with my kiddo, to live my life, instead of grinding for someone else’s idea of success? What if I built it based on my Human Design?
