Hi, I'm Caitlan Siegenthaler. I'm a therapist and a writer. I'm so glad you're here.
I thrive on connecting with people and guiding them through many of life's challenges and transitions. I create an open, nonjudgemental space in which we can do our work together. It is my goal that you feel supported and understood if you choose to do counseling with me. I am always honored by the invitation to work alongside my clients.
I believe that with the guidance and support we all have the ability and capacity to heal ourselves. My ultimate goal is to help you see the unseen within so that you can thrive in all relationships, including the one with yourself.
I use a client-centered collaborative counseling approach in my work. I have training in Internal Family Systems, Family Centered Therapy and Solution-Focused work. I use these modalities as the primary lens of our work together.
Other trainings that I have completed are Mindfulness Stress Management and Relaxation Techniques. I do bring in mindfulness into my work as I have seen huge benefits both professionally and personally.
I specialize in working with clients that:
are in a life transition (divorce, new baby, new partnership, breakup, etc)
are experiencing career shifts or stress
are experiencing relational issues (family, partnerships, working relationships, etc)
are considered an "expat"
experience anxiety, burnout, job stress, etc.
I have a Master's in Counseling and I am licensed in the United States as an English speaking and independent:
Licensed Professional Counselor for the State of Colorado (LPC #0015722)
National Certified Counselor (NCC)
I have several years experience working in both community settings such as schools and community clinical practices as well as working one on one with clients in various settings.
Prior to getting my Master's in Counseling I worked for several years in 0nline marketing and am still very attuned with the needs of the business world.
I am telemental health (online counseling) certified and I take your privacy very seriously. This means that I use secure communication methods, including a secure client portal for our video sessions.
As an expat myself, I have a real understanding of the unique challenges of the life of the expat abroad. I am in a multicultural relationship and my understanding extends further to the complications of multicultural partnerships.
I was born and raised near Denver, Colorado, USA. I currently live in Switzerland and I am passionate about cultivating community regardless of where you are in the world. I love to travel and draw on my experiences abroad to support my work as a therapist.
