Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

At this time, I am an out of network provider and am not contracted with any insurance companies. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. While you are responsible for full payment of your sessions, I can provide you with a superbill each month that you may submit to your health plan for potential reimbursement. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

Additionally, many clients choose not to involve their insurance companies in their mental health care. That means that their sessions are not limited by diagnosis, treatment plans or session limits that insurance companies dictate. When therapy is covered under insurance, your diagnosis becomes part of your permanent health record. This can lead to limitations or denial of coverage later on for things like life insurance policies. The biggest benefit to being a private pay client is that you have full privacy, flexibility and control over your mental health record and treatment.

What does a session with you cost?

  • Individual Sessions are 222 CHF/USD for 60 minutes

Investing in therapy is the ultimate investment in yourself!

What is your cancellation policy?

The time that is allotted for your therapy session is unique to you. I reserve that time for you and requires a 48 hour cancellation notice. Appointments cancelled with less than a 48 hour notice will be billed at the session fee.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy is long term treatment for ongoing mental health and mental wellness concerns. We will look more at the past in therapy and it is usually not time specific.  Coaching focuses more on your mindset and we will focus on a specific problem typically for a specific period of time.

What types of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, HSA cards and all major credit cards as forms of payment. Invoices will be sent via the HIPPA secure Client Portal.

How long will therapy take?

Therapy takes time and commitment. It is always difficult to say exactly how long it will take as this is determined on an individual basis based on goals, needs, etc. Together, we will come up with a plan unique to you.

How often will we meet?

I typically see clients weekly, especially for the first 6-10 weeks. Then we can determine the best plan for you in the long term.

Where is your practice?

I am now 100% virtual. Many clients prefer online sessions as it allows them to be in their own comfortable environment, without having to travel. I am telemental health certified and will ensure that every part of the process is secure, confidential and supportive for you.

What can I expect for the first session?

I will walk you through the full first session and questions you have on our consult call if you decide to move forward with therapy. That being said, in our first session, you can expect us to review the intake paperwork together and to talk about your hopes for our work together. I will also gather information about your past to learn more about how it is impacting your present.
